I wanted to reply to something my friend Elder Patch said, it was very wise, deep, sad, and true. Unfortunately, many in America have lost the concept of respect, of selflessness, and promoting peace and unity. Spiritually there is a trend of selfishness. The trend sadly is complete narcissism. There are many whose conscience appears to be seared with a hot iron. Often, they are uncaring, egomaniacal, and heartless.
We have thrown away basic concepts designed to keep us on a better path. Discipline and moral behavior have been replaced with anarchy. Honesty and justice with hatred, racism, and lack of true justice. Our basic freedoms as a nation are eroded, while cruelty, greed, lies, and worse are the new "free". We are "free" to remove masks and spit in someone's face because we are too selfish to contain ourselves while there is a plague that has now killed over 500,000 Americans. We are "free" to choke a black man to death with a knee to his neck. We are "free" to sign what is basically a racist voting Jim Crow law in Georgia and other states. These are the new "freedoms." True freedom along with moral responsibility is a lost art. There is a difference between liberty used judiciously and license which leads to chaos and anarchy.
2 Timothy 3:1-5: 3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
